By 2006 Leandro Isaac was involved in an attack on the residence of Taur Matan Ruak on 24 May 2006 as part of the 2006 Krize. Read about it here. Brigadier Ruak's F-FDTL believe Xanana largely behind that crisis.
By 2008 Isaac became very ill and the Government sent him for care in Surabaya. Joining others in the "I need health care abroad" treadmill
